You love animals. We need you!

Being a volunteer for the Humane Society of Genesee County is one of the most important jobs you can do. Because of our valued volunteers, we are able to make sure our dogs are walked on a regular daily basis, our cats are petted and pampered, and our shelter looks warm and welcoming.

To be chosen as a volunteer for the Humane Society of Genesee County is an honor. That means you possess the skills that will impact an animal in a positive way. It means that you are willing to devote the time necessary to learn our values and mission. It means that you are a person that cares about making a difference in your community, at a time when life can be more hectic just “getting things done that need to be done.”

Please print out the application from your computer (forms are also available by request at the Humane Society.) You must include a copy of your tetanus vaccine, personal ID or driver’s license, a copy of your medical insurance card, along with the completed application, and mail to the address on the application.

There will be a $25.00 fee for an individual volunteer, ages 16 years and up (payable at orientation.) Please do not include the payment with your application. After all applications are reviewed, you will be notified regarding volunteer status.

• Morning Cage Clean (ages 18 and up)
• Newspaper/Laundry
