Golden Friendship

Through this program, senior citizens who are 65 years of age and older, may adopt adult pets (1 year and older) that have been sterilized and have been at our location for at least 2 weeks at no cost to the adopter. Seniors who own and interact with pets are happier, healthier, less lonely and more active. Pets also provide a sense of security. Animal companions can greatly increase our quality of life, and they are placed into wonderful, caring homes.  We only allow for one animal per household per year for this program.

Fees

If the animal is not sterilized then the owner would be responsible to pay the $50 spay/neuter deposit that goes toward having the animal altered.  There will be a balance due at the vet.  We may require that some animals be spayed/neutered before being released to the new owner.
