2010 Winter Volunteer Newsletter Online

The 2009 volunteer of the year was selected at the 3rd annual Volunteer Recognition and Holiday Banquet held at the Humane Society of Genesee County on December 3.

Gretchen Sommer, a long time volunteer for HSGC, was chosen for her years of dedication and service to the Humane Society. Her volunteer jobs include teaching our pre school story time, fostering kittens, working at community events, helping with HSGC functions, and training new volunteers. Gretchen and her husband Derek have 3 children, Max, Mason and Mackenzie who are also very involved with the Humane Society. We appreciate Gretchen and all of the hard work she contributes!
