Shelter Tours and Presentations
The Humane Society offers free shelter tours for your group or organization. Our lively discussion includes:
- The purpose of the Humane Society
- Pet care
- Safety around animals
- Tour of our facility
- Hands on with our shelter animals.
The tour and presentation lasts approximately 45 minutes and reservations are required. Tours are available for groups of up to 15 people and elementary age to senior citizens.

Humane Education
The Humane Society of Genesee County offers a free educational presentation to your school, day care or group. Our Humane Educator and a shelter animal will visit your facility to discuss importance of:
- Humane treatment of animals
- Proper pet care
- Safety around animals
- Respect and empathy for animals
The presentation lasts approximately 30-45 minutes and requires the use of your on site TV/VCR. Humane education is recommended for ages preschool to middle school and is available within Genesee County.
