Adopting a New Pet

A large variety of dogs, cats, rabbits, and other small animals are available for adoption from our shelter. By adopting from the HSGC, you're not only supporting your local shelter, you're receiving your new pet at a low cost with many extras as described below. The same pet off the street would cost you over $200 in initial veterinary fees alone!

Animals Available for Adoption

We post animals available for adoption on the PetFinder website. Currently a volunteer maintains the website, therefore new animals are added weekly. We are in the process of automating this service Adopt Meto better serve you.

A photo and pertinent biographical information on each animal is listed. Due to the number of animals that we receive and adopt each day, we cannot guarantee that specific animals listed on this site will be available when you visit our shelter.

Please call our shelter to verify the animal is still available before visiting our shelter. However, we are unable to place a hold on animals via phone.
