Real People - Real Connection Awards

Burton - The Humane Society of Genesee County will hold its annual Real People - Real Connection awards on Thursday, May 4, 2005 at 6:00 p.m. at the Mott Community College Prahl Center. The annual banquet is the perfect opportunity for people in the community to nominate and honor those who care for and love animals.  We encourage nominations for individuals, both people and animals, who do outstanding work for each other.  The nomination categories are:

Hero Award - An animal and/or person who has done a heroic deed for an animal/person in need.

Veterinarian of the Year - Has your veterinarian done something for you or your pet that is exceptional?

Veterinary Clinic Employee of the Year - Does your veterinarian have an outstanding employee who goes the extra mile?

Goodwill Ambassador - What person or pet has been a goodwill ambassador?

Partners in Teaching - Have you had a teacher who embodies the spirit of the Humane Society?

Big Paws Award - A person/persons who has opened their hearts and lives to animals in need.

In 500 words or less, describe in detail the reasons/situations that make your nominee exceptional.  All entries must be typed/printed and double-spaced.  Mail your nominations to the Humane Society of Genesee County, Attn: Nominating Committee, P.O. Box 190138, postmarked by April 18, 2005. All nominees will be invited to and be recognized at our 20th annual Real People-Real Connections Banquet.
